HERE ARE 40 IMPORTANT PRINCIPLES OF TRUTH, IN THE TANAKH.

These are basic concepts which are the
FOUNDATIONS OF A GENUINE JEWISH FAITH,
AVAILABLE FOR ANY SINCERE TRUTH SEEKER TO AFFIRM.
[Note: You do not have to be ‘Religious’.]

Introduction: to explain the basic facts of this section of ~
‘HATIKVAH FOR SECULAR JEWS’.

These Scriptures from the Tanakh can be ‘adopted’ by any sincere Jew.

• Please note we simply use a few quotations from the Tanakh, representing many more verses or chapters that agree with the statements made.

• These are taken from the New International Version, carefully based on Hebrew.

• Quotes are in ordinary font; our added notes are in Italics.

• Names of books from the Tanakh are in English.

• A very few verse numbers from the English, vary slightly from Tanakh numbering.

• Where there are whole chapters on a subject, we’ll give the references only*.

• Remember the Tanakh was written by Jews, for Jews, over some 3,000 years.

• The Tanakh was written under ADONAI’S inspiration only.

• We use capital letters, when referring to God ADONAI, as a mark of reverence.

• These points are only part of the total message and teachings of the Tanakh.

• Please read, and think about them carefully. They can be adopted by any Jew.

1. THE ETERNAL EXISTANCE OF THE CREATOR GOD, ELOHIM.

Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth.”

Isaiah 40: 25 & 26. "To whom will you compare Me? Or who is My equal?" says the Holy One.  Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name.  Because of His great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing”.

Isaiah 40: 28.  “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the Earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom”.

2. GOD’S CREATION OF THE EARTH, AND EVERYTHING IN IT AND BEYOND IT.

Psalm 8: 3.  “When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have set in place…”

3. THE CREATION OF HUMAN BEINGS “IN GOD’S IMAGE” [ABOVE ANIMALS.]

Genesis 1: 26.  “Then God said, Let Us make man in Our image, in Our likeness…”

Genesis 1: 27.  “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them”.

Genesis 2:7.  “The LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being”. [The Hebrew for man (‘adam’) sounds like and may be related to the Hebrew for ground/ earth, (adamah). It is also the name ~ Adam (see Gen. 2:20)].

4. CONTROL OF NATURE GIVEN TO HUMAN MANKIND, [including for food.]

Genesis 1: 26 + 28. , “…and let them rule over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the Earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." “God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the Earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

Genesis 9: 1,3 & 4. "Then God blessed Noah and his sons... 'Everything that lives and moves will be food for you... But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it'."

Psalm 8:4 – 8. King David speaking to God.  “…what is man that You are mindful of him, the son of man that You care for him? You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honour. You made him ruler over the works of Your hands; You put everything under his feet: all flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas”.

5. THE FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS FORMED AND IMPORTANT TO GOD.

Genesis 2: 20b – 24.  “For Adam no suitable helper was found”....  “So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh.  Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and He brought her to the man. The man said,  ‘This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman', for she was taken out of man’.  For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh”.  ['Ehad' -one.]

Psalm 68: 6.  “God sets the lonely in families, He leads forth the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land”.

Psalm 127: 3 & 128:3.  “Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from Him. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your sons will be like olive shoots around your table.  Thus is the man blessed who fears the LORD. May the LORD bless you from Zion all the days of your life; may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem, and may you live to see your children's children. Peace be upon Israel”.

6. THE GIFT OF FREEWILL TO EACH INDIVIDUAL, TO USE IN RESPONSE TO GOD.

Ezekiel 18: 3 & 4, 19 - 21"As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, you will no longer quote this proverb in Israel. For every living soul belongs to Me, the father as well as the son—both alike belong to Me. The soul who sins is the one who will die”.

"Yet you ask, 'Why does the son not share the guilt of his father?'
[Answer], "Since the son has done what is just and right and has been careful to keep all My decrees, he will surely live. The soul who sins is the one who will die. The son will not share the guilt of the father, nor will the father share the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him. But if a wicked man turns away from all the sins he has committed and keeps all My decrees and does what is just and right, he will surely live; he will not die”.
[There are only two decrees or commandments that matter: 1, Love to God, and 2, Love to other people. If we did this to the best of our ability with God’s help we would please Him.]

7. GOD COMMUNICATES TO INDIVIDUAL PEOPLE USUALLY IN WORDS.

The 'Shema' Deuteronomy 6:4. 
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD ~ our God ~ the LORD is One”.

Numbers 6:22. The Priestly Blessing, as the Priest holds up his hands.

The LORD said to Moses,  "Tell Aaron and his sons,
'This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:

' The LORD bless you
 and keep you;

The LORD make His Face shine upon you
 …and be gracious to you.

The LORD turn His Face toward you
 and give you peace. '

So they will put My Name on the Israelites, and I will bless them."

A SPECIAL NOTE. In Hebrew the prayer is perfect mathematically as God is a God of perfection and order. This B’rakhah has ADONAI’S Name 3 times, leaving exactly 12 words, (as it was for all 12 Tribes.) In Hebrew it has 3 verses with 2 blessings in each, =6. In the first verse there are 3 words, in the second, 5 words, in the third, 7 words. 6 times it says ‘you’. Therefore it is a specific prayer for all Jewish people who accept it.

8. GOD COMMUNICATES ALSO IN MANY DIFFERENT WAYS.

Deuteronomy 4:33 - 36.  “Has any other people heard the voice of God speaking out of fire, as you have, and lived?  Has any god ever tried to take for Himself one nation out of another nation, by testings, by miraculous signs and wonders, by war, by a Mighty Hand and an outstretched Arm, or by great and awesome deeds, like all the things the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your very eyes?”

“You were shown these things so that you might know that the LORD is God; besides Him there is no other.  From heaven He made you hear His voice to discipline you. On Earth He showed you His great fire, and you heard His words from out of the fire.”

9. THE GIFT OF HEART GUIDELINES IS FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL, FOR ALL OF LIFE.

Deuteronomy 6: 5 – 7.  “Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.  These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts.  Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up”.

Proverbs 3: 5 & 6.  “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight”.

Proverbs 4: 11- 13.  “I guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths. When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble. Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life.”

Micah 6:8.  “He has showed you, O man, what is good.
 And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

10. ISRAEL WAS GOD’S SPECIAL CHOICE FOR NO REASON BUT HONEST LOVE.

Deuteronomy 7: 6 – 9.  “For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the Earth to be His people, His treasured possession”. [This is a very special Hebrew word, only used twice in the Tanakh and it was specifically for the nation of Israel!]

“The LORD did not set His affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. But it was because the LORD loved you and kept the oath He swore to your forefathers that He brought you out with a Mighty Hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His Covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commands.”

11. GOD WHO IS HOLY, CANNOT TOLERATE ANY SIN (WRONG ATTITUDES/ ACTS).

Deuteronomy 7: 10.  “But those who hate Him He will repay to their face by destruction; He will not be slow to repay to their face those who hate Him”.

Ezekiel 18: 30 –32.  "Therefore, O house of Israel, I will judge you, each one according to his ways, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent! Turn away from all your offences; then sin will not be your downfall. Rid yourselves of all the offences you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, O house of Israel?  For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent and live”!

12. THE SACRIFICIAL DEATH OF A SUBSTITUTE IS MEANINGFUL TO GOD.

Genesis 22: 12 –14.  [God speaking to Avraham about Itzak/ Isaac when he was about to kill him]. "Do not lay a hand on the boy," He said. "Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from Me your son, your only son."

Avraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. So Avraham called that place ‘The LORD Will Provide’. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided."  [Every following sacrifice from then on looked back to this one.]

Exodus 12:13.  [At the first Pesach] “The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt”. [Of course it had to be blood from a 1 year old, perfect, male lamb - a ram.]

Exodus 24:8 “Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said, ‘This is the blood of the Covenant that the LORD has made with you in accordance with all these words.’"
[Please note this short chapter is so important as it confirms God’s Covenant with the ancestors of present day Jews ~ ONLY. No other nation had this specific Agreement. Those Israeli people accepted it for all Israeli descendants, for a long time, until God Himself made a NEW Covenant by blood. See Jeremiah 3: 31 & 31.] 

Leviticus 17:10,11. " 'Any Israelite or any alien living among them who eats any blood - I will set My face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from his people. For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one's life”.

13. GOD’S CHOICE OF GOD-FEARING INDIVIDUALS TO SERVE HIS GOOD PLANS.

Genesis 6:9. "This is the account of Noah.  Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God."

Genesis 11:10a. "This is the account [lineage from] Shem. Two years after the Flood when Shem was 100 years old, he became the father of...." [Remember Shem was one of only 3 sons of Noah that survived the flood, and he became the single chosen one to start the 'Godly line', that led to the birth of Avraham, father of the race that became ~ 'Israel'.]

[The rest of this chapter from verse 10 is an important chapter for all Jews to know about.]

14. GOD’S CHOICE and CALLING OF AVRAHAM and PROMISES and COVENANT WITH HIM.

Genesis 12: 1-4a. "The LORD had said to Avraham, 'Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the Land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on Earth will be blessed through you.' So Abram left, as the LORD had told him".

 [Avraham was given 5 specific 'blessings' ~ showing God's GRACE, the number of grace.]

15. THE LAND OF ISRAEL PROMISED TO AVRAHAM’S DESCENDANTS FOREVER.

Genesis 13: 14 - 17.  "The LORD said to Avraham after Lot had parted from him, 'Lift up your eyes from where you are and look North and South, East and West.  All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever.  I will make your offspring like the dust of the Earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted. Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you."

16. GOD’S DEALINGS WITH YACOV, NAMING ALL THE TRIBES FROM HIM, ‘ISRAEL’.

Genesis 32: 9 - 10b, [on his return from Haran, far north of his homeland.]  "Then Jacob prayed, 'O God of my father Avraham, God of my father Isaac, O LORD, who said to me, 'Go back to your country and your relatives, and I will make you prosper'... 'I am unworthy of all the kindness and faithfulness You have shown Your servant. I had only my staff when I crossed this Jordan'."

Genesis  32: 24 - 28. "So Jacob was left alone, and a Man wrestled with him till daybreak.  When the Man saw that He could not overpower him, He touched the socket of Jacob's hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the Man.  Then the Man said, "Let me go, for it is daybreak." But Jacob replied, "I will not let you go unless you bless me." The Man asked him, "What is your name?" "Jacob," he answered.  Then the Man said, "Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Isra'el, because you have struggled with God and with men and have overcome."

17. THE ISRAELITE NATION, FORMED IN EGYPT, FROM JOSEPH TO EXODUS.

Psalm 105: 17... "and He [God] sent a man before them - Joseph, sold as a slave."
23 & 24a, "Then Israel entered Egypt; [formerly] Jacob, lived as an alien in the land of Ham, [i.e. Egypt.]  The LORD made His people very fruitful..."
26, "He sent Moses his servant, and Aaron, whom He had chosen".
43-45, "He brought out His people with rejoicing, His chosen ones with shouts of joy; He gave them the lands of the nations, and they fell heir to what others had toiled for - that they might keep His precepts and observe His laws. Praise the LORD". [Hallelujah].
[This Psalm is a good 'condensed history of Israel' - worth reading!]

18. THE CHOICE, TRAINING, AND COMMISSION FOR SERVICE OF MOSHE HIS PROPHET.

Deuteronomy 1:3.  "In the fortieth year, on the first day of the eleventh month, Moses proclaimed to the Israelites all that the LORD had commanded him concerning them".

Deuteronomy 18:18.  "I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put My Words in His mouth, and He will tell them everything I command Him." *

Deuteronomy 34: 10 - 12.  "Since then, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew Face to face, who did all those miraculous signs and wonders the LORD sent him to do in Egypt—to Pharaoh and to all his officials and to his whole land.  For no one has ever shown the mighty power or performed the awesome deeds that Moses did in the sight of all Israel."
 [*The first promise was true until a Prophetic Leader, who knew and saw God's Face, came and spoke God's Words and did great miracles*.  Like other parts of the Tanakh this was a mystery, but there are many other parts of the Tanakh that throw light on it.]

19. THE TABERNACLE, THE 10 COMMANDMENTS AND THE COVENANT RENEWED.

 [The final setting up of the Tabernacle in the desert is in Exodus 40.This verse comes 8 times!] Exodus 40: 16. "Moses did everything just as the LORD commanded him".

 [The 'Decalogue' is repeated twice, in Exodus 20, & in Deuteronomy 5, worth reading!]
Deuteronomy 5: 22.  "These are the commandments the LORD proclaimed in a loud voice to your whole assembly there on the mountain from out of the fire, the cloud and the deep darkness; and He added nothing more. Then He wrote them on two stone tablets and gave them to me".

 [God's Covenant with Israel, renewed through Moses.]
Deuteronomy 29: 12,13.  "You are standing here in order to enter into a Covenant with the LORD your God, a Covenant the LORD is making with you this day and sealing with an oath, to confirm you this day as His people, that He may be your God as He promised you and as He swore to your fathers, Avraham, Itzak and Yacov".

20. THE LORD’S FEASTS, CELEBRATE A SIGNIFICANT RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.

Leviticus 22:31 - 23:1-2.  "Keep my commands and follow them. I am the LORD".
"The LORD said to Moses, 'Speak to the Israelites and say to them: These are My appointed Feasts, the appointed Feasts of the LORD, which you are to proclaim as Sacred assemblies'."

21. YOM KIPPUR EMPHASISES GOD’S PRESENCE IS TOTALLY HOLY AND SINLESS.

Leviticus 16: 29,30.  "This is to be a lasting ordinance for you: On the tenth day of the seventh month you must deny yourselves and not do any work—whether native-born or an alien living among you because on this day atonement will be made for you, to cleanse you. Then, before the LORD, you will be clean from all your sins”.

Leviticus 16: 34. "This is to be a lasting ordinance for you: Atonement is to be made once a year for all the sins of the Israelites."

22. GOD HAS THE RIGHT TO PUNISH PEOPLE, EVEN ISRAEL, AS DESERVED.

Deuteronomy 11:26.  "See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse..."

23. HIS PUNISHMENTS WERE ALWAYS AS A WAY TO BLESS THEM MORE.

Jeremiah 31: 27 - 28.  "The days are coming, 'declares the LORD, 'when I will plant the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the offspring of men and of animals.  Just as I watched over them to uproot and tear down, and to overthrow, destroy and bring disaster, so I will watch over them to build and to plant,' declares the LORD".

24. GOD USED MANY PROPHETS, INSIDE ISRAEL FOR 800 YEARS BEFORE EXILE.

2 Chronicles 36:15-16.  "The LORD, the God of their fathers, sent word to them through His messengers again and again, because He had pity on His people and on His dwelling place. But they mocked God's messengers, despised His Words and scoffed at His Prophets until the wrath of the LORD was aroused against His people and there was no remedy".

25. GOD'S REPEATED MESSAGE IS FOR ISRAEL TO LOVE GOD SINCERELY.

Deuteronomy 6:5. “Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength”.
 [This verse is repeated six times in the Tanakh. It is not enough to only say ‘I believe in God’ He wants each person to love Him as their own Father God and to love what He loves]. 

26. DURING THE EXILE IN BABYLON GOD STILL USED TWO SPECIAL PROPHETS.

Ezekiel 1: extracts from 1-3.  In the thirtieth year while I was among the exiles by the Kebar River, the Heavens were opened and I saw visions of God... "
"...the Word of the LORD came to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, by the Kebar River in the land of the Babylonians. There, the hand of the LORD was upon him".

Daniel 10: 11 & 12.  "He said, 'Daniel, you who are highly esteemed, consider carefully the words I am about to speak to you, and stand up, for I have now been sent to you.' And when he said this to me, I stood up trembling. Then he continued, 'Do not be afraid, Daniel.  Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them".

27. EZEKIEL [IN BABYLON] FORETOLD EVENTS WITH IMMEDIATE RESULTS ABOUT THE TEMPLE IN JERUSALEM.

Ezekiel 24:21, "Say to the house of Israel, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am about to desecrate My Sanctuary—the stronghold in which you take pride, the delight of your eyes, the object of your affection." [God took the ability to talk away as a sign...]

24:26-27... "On that day a fugitive will come to tell you the news. At that time your mouth will be opened; you will speak with him and will no longer be silent. So you will be a sign to them, and they will know that I am the LORD."

33: 21-22, "In the twelfth year of our exile, in the tenth month on the fifth day", [i.e. 3 months travelling time - Jerusalem to Babylon, after the Temple was destroyed,] "a man who had escaped from Jerusalem came to me and said, 'The city has fallen!'  Now the evening before the man arrived, the Hand of the LORD was upon me, and He opened my mouth before the man came to me in the morning. So my mouth was opened and I was no longer silent."

33: 33, "When all this comes true—and it surely will—then they will know that a prophet has been among them."

28. THE DESTRUCTION OF THE 2 TEMPLES WERE SERIOUS SYMBOLIC ACTS.

Read Ezekiel 10,sadly it is about God's Presence in the Cloud of Shekinah Glory leaving the Temple. - This was a real day of tragedy, sometime before the Temple was destroyed.

29. THE SERIOUS PROPHECIES BY DANIEL OF EVENTS UP TO THE END OF THE 4TH MILLENNIUM WERE LITERALLY FULFILLED, WITH SOME STILL AHEAD.

[Note in this prophecy a 'seven' meant 7 years also called a week. The dates have been checked out absolutely correctly by Jews like Stan Telchin and many others. God is Sovereign over Prophecy and Time. Part of this has happened with some to yet happen.]

Daniel 9: 24 - 27.  "Seventy 'sevens' are decreed for Your people and Your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy. "Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the Ruler, comes, there will be seven 'sevens,' and sixty-two 'sevens.' It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble.  After the sixty-two 'sevens,' the Anointed One will be cut off and will have nothing.

[This part is about the destruction of the Second Temple by the Roman Titus in 70AD/ CE.] "The people of [another] 'ruler who will come' will destroy the City and the Sanctuary."    

[This part, many scholars believe, and we agree, covers the past, almost 2000 years since then, but also moves into the future events for a future Temple, at the End of Man's rule.]

"The End will come like a flood: War will continue until the End, and desolations have been decreed.  He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.'  In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the rebuilt Temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him".

30. GOD ALLOWED THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL TO BE DISPERSED WORLDWIDE C.E.

Ezekiel 36: 19 -23.  "I dispersed them among the nations, and they were scattered through the countries; I judged them according to their conduct and their actions.  And wherever they went among the nations they profaned My Holy Name, for it was said of them, 'These are the LORD's people, and yet they had to leave His land.'  I had concern for My Holy Name, which the house of Israel profaned among the nations where they had gone.

"Therefore say to the house of Israel, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am going to do these things, [regather Jews to Israel], but for the sake of My Holy Name, which you have profaned among the nations where you have gone. I will show the Holiness of My Great Name, which has been profaned among the nations, the Name you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the LORD, declares the Sovereign LORD, when I show Myself Holy through you before their eyes." This is another chapter it is good and encouraging to read for yourself.]

31. GOD GAVE MESSAGES OF THE RESTORATION OF ISRAEL, FOR END TIMES.

Ezekiel 36: 24 - 28. "'For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land.  I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols.  I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit in you and move you to follow My Decrees and be careful to keep My laws. You will live in the Land I gave your forefathers; you will be My people, and I will be your God."

Micah 4: 1 - 2.  "In the last days the Mountain of the LORD's Temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and all nations will stream to it. Many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the House of the God of Jacob. He will teach us His ways, so that we may walk in His paths. The law will go out from Zion, the Word of the LORD from Jerusalem”.

32. GOD HAS A PERSONAL INTEREST IN EVERY GOD-FEARING JEWISH PERSON.

Psalm 23. 1 “The LORD is my Shepherd; I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.  Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever”.

Psalm 40:16 & 17.  “But may all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; may those who love Your salvation always say, "The LORD be exalted!" Yet I am poor and needy; may the Lord think of me. You are my help and my deliverer; O my God, do not delay”.

33. AMAZINGLY, HE HAS ALSO PROMISED SOME BLESSINGS TO NON-JEWS.

Isaiah 56: 6, 7 & 8.  “And foreigners who bind themselves to the LORD to serve Him, to love the name of the LORD, and to worship Him, all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold fast to My Covenant - these I will bring to My holy mountain and give them joy in My House of Prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; for My House will be called a ‘House of Prayer for all nations’.” The Sovereign LORD declares; He who gathers the exiles of Israel: "I will gather still others to them besides those already gathered."

34. GOD WILL HEAR ANY GENUINE PRAYERS BY ANYONE, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME.

Psalm 50:15.  “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor Me."

Psalm 91: 14 –16.  "Because he loves Me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges My name. He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honour him.  With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation."

35. GOD HAS PROMISED TO NO LONGER ‘HIDE HIS FACE’ FROM ISRAEL.

Isaiah 54: 5 & 7 & 8.  “For your Maker is your husband - the LORD Almighty is His name - the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; He is called the ‘God of all the Earth’.”

"’For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with deep compassion I will bring you back.  In a surge of anger I hid My Face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you,’ says the LORD your Redeemer”.

Ezekiel 39:29.  “I will no longer hide My Face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the House of Israel, declares the Sovereign LORD."

36. GOD ACTUALLY SHOWED HIMSELF ON EARTH AS A MAN SEVERAL TIMES.

To Avraham, Genesis 18: 22.  “The men turned away and went toward Sodom, but Avraham remained standing before the LORD”.

To Yacov, Genesis 32: 24 – 30.  “So Yacov was left alone, and a Man wrestled with him till daybreak… Then the Man said, "Let me go, for it is daybreak".  But Yacov replied, "I will not let you go unless you bless me." The Man asked him, "What is your name?"

"Yacov," he answered. Then the Man said, "Your name will no longer be Yacov, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with men and have overcome." Yacov said, "Please tell me your Name." But He replied, "Why do you ask My Name?" Then HE blessed him there. So Yacov called the place Peni’el, saying, "It is because I saw God Face to face, and yet my life was spared."

Also Genesis 35: 9 & 14.  “After Yacov returned from Paddan Aram, God appeared to him again and blessed him”. “Yacov set up a stone pillar at the place where God had talked with him, and he poured out a drink offering on it; he also poured oil on it”.

To Moshe, Exodus 34:29, "When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the LORD."

37. SOON GOD WILL SHOW HIMSELF TO THE WORLD AND ALL JEWS IN ONE GREAT ACT OF TOTAL ELIMINATION OF ISRAEL’S ENEMIES.

Ezekiel 39: 7 & 8. " 'I will make known My Holy Name among My people Israel. I will no longer let My Holy Name be profaned, and the nations will know that I the LORD am the Holy One in Israel. It is coming! It will surely take place, declares the Sovereign LORD. This is the day I have spoken of."

38. THE RESULT OF THIS WILL BE A TIME OF GREAT RESTORATION FOR ISRAEL & ALL JEWS.

Isaiah 62: 1 -5.  "For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem's sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch. The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the LORD will bestow. You will be a crown of splendor in the LORD's hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God."

39. GOD STILL LOOKS FOR HEART ATTITUDES OF REPENTANCE AND TRUST IN HIM.

Isaiah 55: 6 - 9.  "Seek the LORD while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and He will have mercy on him, and to our God, for He will freely pardon. 'For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,' declares the LORD. 'As the Heavens are higher than the Earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts".

Isaiah 48:18 & 19. "If only you had paid attention to My commands, your peace would have been like a river, your righteousness like the waves of the sea. Your descendants would have been like the sand, your children like its numberless grains; their name would never be cut off nor destroyed from before Me."

40. GOD HAS PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD PRAYING URGENTLY FOR ISRAEL.

Isaiah 62: 6-7.  "I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the LORD, give yourselves no rest, and give Him no rest till He establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the Earth."
